AI Readiness Assessment
AI readiness assessment: find out where AI will pay off before you spend more
Most readiness checks ask which tools you use. This one starts with how the work gets done, because that's where the benefit is won or lost.

The scorecard
The AI Benefit Scorecard
Answer ten questions about how your team works today. You'll get a score out of 100 across four areas, and three things to do next, emailed to you straight away.
- Process: is the work mapped, or does it live in people's heads?
- Data: can an agent get at what it needs without someone copying and pasting?
- People: who owns the output, and who checks it?
- Tools: are you paying for AI nobody uses?

The audit
The Agentic Readiness Audit: two weeks, one plan you can act on
Week 1: map and measure.
We pick one or two processes that cost you the most time. I map every step, time it and mark which steps add value and which are waste: waiting, rework, re-keying, checking someone else's checking.
Week 2: split and plan.
I run the Knowledge · Skills · Wisdom split on what's left. That decides what goes to AI, what becomes an agent skill and what stays with your people. Then I cost it: hours saved, build effort, and the order to do it in.
You get:
- A value-stream map of each process, before and after
- The waste list, with the fixes that need no AI at all
- A KSW split of every remaining step
- A prioritised automation roadmap with an ROI estimate for each item
- A 60-minute readout call with you and whoever owns the process
It's fixed price and remote, and it's yours to keep. If the right answer is "don't automate this yet", that's what the report will say.
Why process comes first
Lean before agents
I started my career in lean manufacturing. The first rule there is that you don't automate a step you should have removed. AI is no different. Put an agent on a messy process and it does the mess faster, and now someone has to check it as well.
That's why the audit spends its first week on the process, not on the tools. Often the waste list alone saves more time than the first agent does.

FAQ
What is an AI readiness assessment?
It's a structured check on whether your business can get real value from AI, and where. A useful one looks at your processes, data and people as well as your tools, and ends with a prioritised plan rather than a maturity score.
What should an AI readiness assessment include?
At minimum: a map of the process you want to improve, the waste in it, the data an agent would need, who checks the output, and a costed list of what to automate first. If it doesn't include costs and an order to do things in, it's a survey, not an assessment.
How long does an AI readiness assessment take?
The scorecard takes 2 minutes. The full Agentic Readiness Audit takes 2 weeks, remote.
How much does an AI readiness assessment cost?
The scorecard is free. The audit is typically £2,500–£4,000, depending on how many processes we cover. I quote a fixed price for your scope before we start.
How do you measure the ROI of AI?
Time the process as it runs today, then time it with the waste removed and the agent in place. The difference in hours, multiplied by the cost of those hours and set against the build and running cost, is your return. The audit does this for each item on the roadmap.
Is my business ready for AI agents?
If you have a repeatable process, can get at the data it uses, and have someone who can own the output, probably yes. The scorecard will tell you which of those three is weakest.
